CUSTOMER QUALIFICATIONS

Studio Moulding Inc. is a wholesale distributor to-the-trade-only, and it reserves the right to determine the qualifications of a customer to purchase its products. A customer must be in the art and framing business or allied industry and must provide evidence of its legitimacy by way of an appropriate business License and a Resale Number. Possession of our catalog or a visit our website does not constitute the right to buy.

TERMS AND CREDIT

Credit can be established by completing our credit application, listing three trade your bank. Allow two weeks for processing. Open account terms are 2%-10 on invoice date. Orders will not be shipped to accounts with past due balances. to Studio Moulding for NSF will be charged an additional $25 processing fee. DOWNLOAD CREDIT APPLICATION
  • A discount of 2% is given on C.O.D. orders. The freight company’s C.O.D. charges will be added to all C.O.D. shipments.
  • For special orders Studio Moulding requires a signed Purchase Order and a 50% deposit at time of placing the order.

ORDERING INFORMATION

  • Phone order desk is open from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. You can also fax your order @ (888) 423-1814 or order on line at www.studiomoulding.com at any time.
  • Length orders / Chop orders / Straight Cut orders received before 11:00 a.m. your local time will be shipped the same day. (With the exception of high volume moulding orders)
  • Orders received after 11:00 a.m. will be sent out the following day.
  • Join orders require a minimum of 3-working days for shipment.
  • Add-ons on any order will be accepted until 12:00 noon customers’ local time. After 12:00 noon add-ons will be processed as new orders and shipped the following day.
  • When ordering, please provide your customer number, name of business, and your shipping address.
  • When placing length orders please state the minimum acceptable moulding length you require. We will ship the closest available length(s) of moulding without shipping less than your order.

  • Fax Orders (888) 423-1814 A customer service representative will call you within one hour to confirm the receipt of your fax order. If you do not receive confirmation within one hour please call (800) 262-4174 (Option #1) to confirm receipt of your order.
  • On Line orders Orders can now be placed via the Studio web site @ www.studiomoulding.com. Click on Place an Order and follow the instructions. Customers require a current Account # and a password. Customers will receive an immediate confirmation of receipt of order by e-mail.
  • Handling Charges A handling charge of $3.50 will be added to all orders with invoice values less than $35 (after discount); however, there is no handling charge on pick-up orders.

LEGNTH

  • The minimum order must be a full stick which may vary in length (7 to 12 ft.)

Discount

  • Any assortment of full stick 200’ - 499’ less 5%; 500’ - 999’ less 10%; 1,000’ - 1,999’ lest 15%; 2,000’ and over less 20%.

BOX PROGRAM

All box pricing listed in the price list are for Full Boxes. The box quantities listed in the price list are an average and box quantities do vary.
When ordering Boxes, please indicate the approximate footage needed and the length of moulding required. Studio will attempt to ship the closest quantities available. Customers will be notified in the event that box quantities requested are drastically different.

STRAIGHT CUT SERVICE

The straight cut service provides pre-inspected and pre-cut lengths, which you would then CHOP to your specifications.
  • Place the order as a frame size.
  • Studio calculates the Straight Cut size for you based on the size of the moulding, plus a 1" allowance on each side.
  • You are charged ONLY for the footage sent to you
  • Straight Cut is priced below chop service.
  • Free UPS Ground Delivery for orders over $65.00 or more.

CHOP SERVICE

All chops will have a standard 1/8-inch allowance (1/16 inch on each side) unless we are directed otherwise. Minimum chop size is 5 inches (wood) per side, with a minimum charge based upon 3 feet.

Routing service for chops: (Wedges)
Studio offers a routing service whereby your chops are routed and specially designed plastic inserts are provided to join the frames.

Cost:
  • $3.00 per frame (1 wedge each corner)
  • $5.00 per frame (2 wedges each corner)
  • Corners need to be glued and the wedges are insertedinto the routed slots.

Fillet mouldings c an be chopped to your specifications. When ordering fillet chops, please let us know if you are ordering:

  • Sight measurement A to A
  • Mat measurement B to B
  • Frame measurement C to C
Since fillets require precision measurement it is advisable to order straight cut which you can then trim to your exact size at the time of fitting.

JOIN SERVICE

The service of joining frames is available. Joined frames require a minimum of 3 full working BACK ORDERS days for shipment.
  • The maximum size for shipment of joined frames is 60 united inches. (ie:24" X36")
  • Joined frames measuring larger than 60 united inches should be picked up at your local distribution center.
  • Studio will ship joined frames at customers request, but Studio Moulding will not assume any responsibility for damages incurred during shipping.
  • Packaging and boxing Joined frames is material and labor intensive. Consequently the following boxing charges are applied to ALL join orders.
$5.00 per box for frame sizes up to 20" X 24".
$10.00 per box for larger frames.
The assorted sizes and quantity of your frames will determine how many boxes will be needed. We will attempt to pack as many frames as possible in each box.

  • 5 to 9 of any assortment - 5% discount.
  • 10 to 24 of any assortment - 10% discount.
  • 25 to 49 of any assortment - 15% discount.

BACK ORDERS

In case Studio is out of stock at your local warehouse then we will send the products from the nearest alternative distribution center. The cost of shipping will be the same as the cost from your local warehouse.
In the event that the product is not available nationwide, then the product will be put on BACK ORDER, and once the product is availabel you will be notified and shipment arrangement will be made at that time.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

A. Chops / Straight Cut / Join Orders

Orders of $65.00 or more will receive FREE UPS GROUND delivery (Continental U.S. only). Free UPS ground service does NOT include Orange, Blue, Red, Saturday delivery, oversize charges, and extra handling charges or COD charges.
Outside of the Continental U.S. an order of $65.00 or more will receive a 10% freight allowance not to exceed the actual cost of freight.

UPS charges extra for the following services:

  • Per UPS, additional handling charge of $6.00 on any package that is 60” (5’) in length or longer.
NOTE: Chops, Straight Cut and Join orders combined with any length order will be treated as length orders and ONLY receive a 5% freight allowance.

Length Orders

  • Orders with invoice amounts greater than $100 will receive a 5% freight allowance, not to exceed the actual freight amount. Free freight or 5% freight allowance does not include inside delivery. (That is when the driver carries the freight into your facility.) Close Out items will not receive freight allowance.
  • For UPS shipments please give cutting instructions to the Order Processor keeping in mind that UPS charges an additional handling fee of $6.00 on packages that are 60 inches or greater in length.
  • The following are based on UPS policy.
    • 10 ft -- 6/4; 5/5 (Both will incur an additional $6.00 handling fee).
    • 9 ft -- 4.5/4.5 (no extra charges) but 5/4 (extra handling charges).
    • 8 ft -- full sticks are possible but additional handling charge of $6.00 will apply. Otherwise lengths may be cut 4/4 (with no additional handling charges).

Box Order

  • 1-4 boxes receive a 5% freight allowance not to exceed the actual freight amount.
  • On 5 boxes and over Studio pays for the freight (Continental USA only). Freight company will be selected by Studio Moulding.

Will Call

Studio requires a minimum of 3 hours on w i l l c a l l orders. I f you plan to pick up merchandise at one of our 6 distribution centers, please let us know what time you plan to arrive to avoid waiting. Pick up of large or special orders should be scheduled at the time the order is placed.

RETURN POLICIES

Upon receipt of goods:

  • Inspect contents im mediately. Notify Studio Moulding within 10 days of receipt with any errors or damages. Studio will replace the product and issue Call Tags to pick up and return the moulding to the issuing distribution center.
  • Replacement product will be invoiced and credit will be issued once the returned product has been received at the distribution center. The original invoice must be paid in full.
  • All replacements and returns must be made within 30 days of receipt of merchandise. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
  • If any length moulding has defects, DO NOT cut the moulding. Return the full stick for replacement. Studio is only responsible for crediting the defective goods. Any lengths that have been cut or altered cannot be returned for credit.
  • Chops, Straight Cuts and Joined frames that have evidence that they have been joined or fitted will not be credited.
  • Please Inspect and verify all chops, straight cuts & join product received for flaws, accuracy of dimensions and correct item number. Call Studio if there are any problems and we will replace the product.
  • We request that ALL returned merchandise be adequately packed so that they will not be further damaged on their return trip. NO returns will be accepted that have been improperly packaged.
  • Studio Moulding must authorize ALL returns, please call Customer Service (800/262-4174) Option 2 and Studio will authorize a freight pick up or Call Tag request.

Damaged Shipment by carrier:

If your shipment arrives and the packaging has obvious damage:
  • Refuse delivery and notify Studio immediately. We will replace the products.
  • Accept delivery but note on the Bill of lading that box is damaged. Keep the box for inspection. Upon inspection if you find that some of the goods were damaged notify Studio and we will arrange for pick up and credit.We will require a copy of the delivery receipt in order for us to place a damaged goods claim from the freight carrier.

CANCELLATION OF ORDER

  • Length orders: Studio Moulding will charge a 15% restocking fee on the returned merchandise Customer is responsible for any freight charges for returned products.
  • Chops, straight cuts, join orders are final.
  • ALL purchase of special sale merchandise, close outs or discontinued items are final.
